Pomegranate Wine

Syunik Province, Armenia
Heritage

Franzese Pomegranate Wine is a rich, ruby-red Armenian fruit wine pressed from real pomegranates. If you've been searching for a pomegranate wine with no added sugar or sulfates, this is it — bold, smooth, and made the traditional Armenian way. The pomegranate has been sacred to Armenia for as long as Armenia has existed. It appears in ancient manuscripts, carved into church walls, and woven into textiles as a symbol of fertility, abundance, and eternal life. The orchards of Syunik Province, in Armenia's southeastern highlands, produce some of the most intensely flavored pomegranates on earth — the result of summer temperatures that regularly exceed 110°F, combined with the dramatic cooling of highland nights . This is not a flavored grape wine with pomegranate added. It is real fermented pomegranate - tree-ripened, gently pressed, and cold-fermented in stainless steel to preserve every note of freshness - then bottled in a hand-painted traditional Armenian vessel that is itself a piece of art.

What it feels like

Semi-sweet with a bright, natural tartness — it tastes like a fresh pomegranate, not a sugary juice. You'll notice tart cherry alongside the pomegranate, with a hint of walnut on the finish that gives it an unexpected depth. It's light enough to drink chilled on its own but interesting enough to hold up next to food. Overall, it's vibrant and refreshing — the kind of wine that surprises people in the best way.

Perfect pairings
Sliced roasted duck with pomegranate seeds on a ceramic plate

Roasted duck with pomegranate glaze

A natural pairing — the wine mirrors the glaze and amplifies the savory depth of the duck.
Assorted cheeses, grapes, figs, and nuts on a plate

Aged hard cheeses

The wine's tartness cuts through the fat of aged cheeses like Gruyère or Comté, creating a surprisingly sophisticated pairing.
Two wine glasses and a pitcher of red sangria with oranges and rosemary on a stone surface.

Served as a spritz or in sangria

Chill and pour over ice with sparkling water and a sprig of mint, or use as the base of a sangria that will stop every conversation at the table.

Notes from the boss

"Every time I pour this for someone who thinks they know wine, they stop and ask what it is. That reaction is exactly why I love it."

The Birthplace of Wine

From Ancient Soil To Your Table

Long before the vineyards of France and Italy, long before the cellars of Napa Valley, there was Armenia — the cradle of winemaking. In 2011, archaeologists discovered the world's oldest known winery in the Areni-1 cave complex, dating back over 6,200 years.

This is not just wine. This is liquid heritage — a direct connection to the very origins of viticulture.

Michael said in one of his sit-downs Pomegranate was his least favorite, so I was not sure what to expect. Like him, I think the Blackberry is excellent. But the Pomegranate is absolutely AMAZING!!!

I wonder if something was wrong with mine. The wine did not taste sweet or tart, I only tasted what seemed like red wine aged in oak barrels...Very woody taste.

Smooth velvet finish with fresh notes of pomagranate. Every sip was amazingly delicious. We went through 3 bottles of Franzese wine and still wanted more.
Be safe, be healthy, God bless you, God bless this country and God bless your family and loved ones.

!!!THE BEST WINE IVE EVER HAD!!!

From the second I opened the bottle, I could just tell from the smell alone that this would be good. Very aromatic, fresh, and sweet. My first sip was “woah.” All of the flavors hit at once. This wine tastes very nostalgic to me, but I'm not sure of what. The after taste is my favorite part because it just makes me want to drink more! Pomegranates are my favorite fruit which is what made me want to purchase the wine. If I could give this more stars I would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have to say I’m disappointed, wine was delivered on time. However, I was anticipating with joy my first glass, but, the wine looked discoloured and it tasted as if the wine had turned. This did not turn me off of Franzese wine however. These unfortunate experiences do happen from time to time. Next order will be for the Strawberry. CIAO
